Enable spelling check on Google Chrome

Google Chrome has a built-in spell-checker as well. Please follow the steps below (for Windows) to enable it:

  1. In your browser, click the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Click the tab Under the Hood.
  3. Click Change font and language settings under Web Content section.
  4. Click the Languages tab.
  5. Select the "Check spelling" check box if you want Google Chrome to automatically check your spelling.
  6. Select the language you want to use in the "Spell-checker language" drop-down menu.
  7. Click OK to save your settings.

If you want to temporarily turn off the spell-checker on Chrome, please follow these steps:

  1. Right-click in any text field.
  2. Select Spell-checker options.
  3. Deselect "Check the spelling of this field."
