Is crowd sourcing good or bad to professional translators?

Translia is a crowd sourcing platform, with which a mass of translators can work on the same jobs. Although there are already some online translation websites, I believe Translia is the first crowd translation site by a real meaning. Some of biggest difference might be:
* Translators don't have change to negotiate prices.
* Everyone can work on any jobs.
* There are no process at all.
* ...

Now my questions are: Does Translia indicate the future of online translation? Crowd translation will make the life of professional translators easier or even harder?

Because professional translator doesn't really need it.

I think the worst part of crowd translation is lower price...

For Translia itself, I'm glad it doesn't provide any translation tools. There are even no TM. To say the truth, I hate TM. I feel I'm part of machine when I translate with TM.

I'm not sure if the price would go lower because of crowd sourcing. I hope clients are willing to pay more for better/quicker translation. Otherwise we have to translate more.

P.S. TM might not be so bad that. To the least, it'ss helpful when working on tech manuals, which often include a lot of repetitions.

I agree, TM is helpful for some projects. However, sorry but I still... hate TM.

I hate TM because we translators translate less because of the TM. Anyway, they're done by "us", though not you and me.

The lucky part, however, is that there are still too much translation tasks and clients need Reviewers for TM management, and Translators for fresh translation.
