As we discussed before, sometimes clients couldn't get the 100% done jobs by the deadline while a partialy done job is useless at all. We took some actions to push translators to get jobs done before and now we want to take stronger action for the interest of clients.
From now on, they don't need to pay a cent on Translia for any job which doesn't meet the deadline. It means that all the escrowed points by a client will be returned even if the progress is 99% by the deadline - clients don't need to pay neither Translia nor translators for a delayed job. It's a promise of Translia and also Translia translators or Transliators, to all clients. As always and any time, we need your support to satisfy clients together.
To help you know the deadline or time left for a job easily, there will be a countdown timer under Translation tab to tell you how much time left. Some warning message may be sent if needed.

I do not understand!!!
I've finished my translation "108352 Omegatplus_doc_last 4_arabic " it is 100% finished, but still open the client doesn't close it. I wonder why?!
nahla73, thank you for your
nahla73, thank you for your effort! This is a free job by Omegatplus team and the job owner have the full control to decide when to close a job.
For the paid jobs, if the job is not closed and clients don't give any reason. Translia will check it and ensure it's closed properly.
There are two fundamental
There are two fundamental problems to this policy, as far as I can see:
1) Sometimes you simply cannot set an entry as "Ready to commit" - for instance when there are serious problems with the source text and you need further clarifications from the client before you can commit.
2) If the process requires several steps (e.g. editing and proofreading besides the translation) you become too dependent on other translators, which is absurd. For instance, if I finish a complete translation, but no one does the editing or proofreading, I still must be paid for the work I have done. I simply cannot take responsibility for other translators.
Thomas
Thomas, I already see how you
Thomas, I already see how you did to ensure a job 100% done by working on other's translation once you found some on-going jobs! Thank you so much! On Translia, we need to do this way.
Back to our discussion, all you said above is true or reasonable from Translator side. While, we hope most of Translia members take jobs like you, jobs will be done very quickly and clients will be happy to posting jobs here again and again. Most translation can't be done by one and we need to know how to work together online and win more opportunities for all.
That's just we expect and why we build Translia.
Have a great weekend!
Agree
I quite agree with the idea!
