Welcome to join the Medical Translation/Localization group, hope everybody working together happily.
Greetings all,
I was just wondering what the rate practiced in the Portuguese speaking countries looks like.
As example I'll quote the following: here in Belgium, the "minimum" rate per word in translation is 0,12 EURO (FR/PT-PT/FR), this rate climbs to 0,17 in case of sworn translation. Of course, it's an open market, the translator has final acceptance on the rates he'll work for.

I am interested to know what your background is and what kind of subjects you get the most requests for.
Looking forward to your input!
In medicine, it is extremely important to check many times to see if the medical meaning is perfect
It is not the same as translating literature or sociology, etc.
