I just made my first translation here a few days ago. At the time, I noticed that some types of relevant reference/background information about the project was missing - information which would have made my work somewhat easier but above all helped to ensure that the end result meets the client's expectations.
I assume clients need to post some form or other when they post jobs. I would propose that this form has a few extra fields to encourage clients to submit relevant reference/background information (unless this is already the case).
Here are some types of information that often is very helpful to get:
(A) Special terms which should not be translated, e.g. names of companies and products, trademarks, etc.
(B) Other special terms which require special instructions along some lines or other.
(C) Special abbreviations used in the document, together with their meanings and instructions for how to handle them.
(D) Special machine-related symbols used in the document and how they should be handled (e.g. in case the document contains symbols or special bracketed expressions to be replaced by context-related strings, etc.)
(E) A brief, general statement of what the document is about (e.g. "This is about an XXX product used by YYY companies to ZZZ...")
(F) A brief, general statement about the intended audience of the translation. (e.g. "This is an internal report to be presented to the board.")
(G) A general statement about how to handle terms referring to graphical user interfaces (GUI).
PLUS an explicit list of any such terms that the client may be aware of, possibly together with specific instructions in each case.
For instance, in the case of a source sentence such as "Next press the Submit button", I would need to know whether the submit button is still entitled "Submit" on the GUI used by the readers of the translation (or whether they will be using a translated GUI).

This is the drawback of this online translation platform, it can not handle demanding task requiring consistency on the term level and sentence level.
Will Translation Memory be
Will Translation Memory be helpful? It will be available soon. For some clients, TM is necessary and for the rest they may not want to know about it and just want to get the translation done.
No matter with whatever tools or utilities, translator is always the key to ensure everything is good.
A few CAT/TM-like suggestions
A few concrete "tools" and functionalities I would appreciate on the translation interface are:
(1) Previous translations that match the current source text (to a certain, specifiable percentage, for instance 80%) should be listed somewhere next to it and, with a simple click, it should be possible to directly import any one such translation into the target field (without reloading the entire web page).
(Cf. Wordfast, which can propose a certain translation based on previous translations.)
(2) Ability to enter a source term and its translation into a "glossary" (which applies e.g. to the specific translation or the specific client). (Without reloading the entire web page.)
(3) A search box where I can enter a source term to see if it is in the glossary. (Without reloading the entire web page.)
And perhaps (4): With a simple click on one of the source terms, I should get a pop-up window to appear, with reference details on that particular word. Such as for instance a list of all other entries in the current translation project which use that particular term, together with their current translations.
Translation Memory (TM)
Translation Memory (TM) can only easy the problem, but not solve the problem. As a suggestion to the owner of Translia, you need more computer aided tools (CAT) to make sure programmablly the approved Terms/sentences are consistently followed. This problem may become more prominent over time.
