Spanish (Spain) vs Spanish (Latin America)

Subject repeated

This is the same subject I introduced in the Spanish Translators Group. Different translators have posted their ideas there.

Subject repeated

So far Translia has only promissed to think the matter over, maybe repetition elsewhere may help.

Good idea!

Maybe we'll get an answer!

Why this differenciation?

Hi, carlbahnson. Thanks for posting this here too. Summing up my views on the subject, I'll say that, if Translia does not make a difference between British English, US English and other varieties, Spanish should not be separated either. Spanish from Latin America and Spanish from Spain are as similar to each other as UK English and US English are to one another. Why this differenciation then?

I agree

I agree with you! Thanks for your opinion!
Cheers!

We hope the solution

Dear Yolanda
At first glance seems a fairly balanced solution, however, before giving an opinion I will try some translations under this new operational mode to see how it works in practice. Anyway, thank you very much for having considered the subject in depth.
