Recently, more and more translators are requesting payments - an evidence of their contribition to the Translia website. I appreciated it very much for your jobs, and comments & suggestions to us!
Some may still have questions about payment and I would like to clarify here again:
1. What's the value of each point?
1 point = USD 0.01

2. Does translators need to pay Translia?

3. How to get paid?
See the Translator Guide, http://www.translia.com/node/24. Translators will be paid only when the job is 100% done before the deadline, please read http://www.translia.com/node/117739
4. Which payment methods are available?
Paypal and Moneybookers. See the Translator Guide, http://www.translia.com/node/24.
5. What's the payment term?
Averagely 30 days. Terms of Use, item 9
6. What's minimum amount for each payment request?
USD 100. Terms of Use, item 9
7. How about V.A.T?
Terms of Use, item 10
8. Why didn't I get the payment in my PayPal account while on Translia the payment status is Paid?
a. Email is not corrrect. Translia pays you by PayPal when you choose it and sends the payment to your PayPal account - the email address in your Profile. But if the email address in your Profile is not your PayPal account, Translia gets no prompt from PayPal about it. Double check if your email address is correct and update it if necessary please.
b. You have not acceptted the payment.
Again, pls read Terms of Use and Translator Guide carefully since it counts for much to you. It may be not short, but worth your time. And, we will optimize the document structure and organization for your convenience of reading.

So I asked TRANSLIA for a paiement around September 9, it got processed on September 15 (account with TRANSLIA down to zero).
But I only got the paiement in PAYPAL on October 19 with PAYPAL.
Also, out of 100$, I got charged 4,20$US, by PAYPAL.
Why TRANSLIA is not paying the charges?

I had the same problem with PayPal before. Their fee is 3.4%+0.33 Euro for 1 transaction.... but sometimes I got less..... We need to contact PayPal and find out the information about fees.

I am not upset about the delay for paiement, it was my first paiement and I was just wondering.
I will know in the future that it takes a litle more than a month to get pay.
About the charges, it is sad but normal (it is the same with other FREELANCER'S site) and I understand that is the way it works.

It means that your payment request is approved.

Could you pls check it again? Our AP processed all the payments through PayPal on Oct 13 according to payment term. We can provide proof if needed.

Translia doesn't pay for such charges. We pay the charges when the clients pay for the translation. In addition, it's not very practical as our translators are from all over the world and the charges differ with country&area.

You have to submit your payments requests at the end of the month and then Translia pays around the fifteen of the following month. The charge you mention is what Paypal charges, 4%, it's a lot I agree.... But it's the only way Translia pays, or Moneybookers. Translia doesn`t pay charges made by Paypal.

9. Payment to Translators. Translators may cash his/her earned points at the rate of USD1.00 per 100 Earning points (ONE US DOLLAR PER ONE HUNDRED EARNING POINTS). The minimum amount for each payment is USD100.00 (ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS). A Translator may submit a request for payment when his/her Earning account balance exceeds the above minimum amount. By the 15th of each month Translia makes the payment against the payment request submitted in the previous month.
The payment will be paid to the PayPal or Moneybookers account of the Translator associated with the email address then current.
my job earnings are missing and i am worried

I have already opened a support ticket about this and i am waiting for an answer, but i hope you can help me meanwhile. I am really worried and a bit disappointed, because i have worked pretty hard on the Job 625523, which has been closed since today at 15:00, but if i check the section "My earnings" it does not appear. If I go to the section "My translations" it appears and i should have gained 12,360 points. SInce they are a lot, but they are not on my account, i would like to know what happened.
I hope everything it's fine.

BTW, it's enough to get our attention to issue a support case when something is wrong with the Translia system. No need to post repeated ones everywhere, although I understand that you were worry about it...

2. in June the 15th you'll process all the requests received within May the 31st. I think I can include only the point effectively earned till May the 31st. Points earned by jobs done in May but closed, for example, in the first week of june have to be requested at the end of June and processed in July, correct?

It takes some time, they process one payment per month, and it's generally between the 10 and 15th of each month. That's why maybe they haven`t accepted the payment yet, but don`t worry they will.

When Paypal receives the money, they send you an email in which they tell you you have just received a payment from "Acosys", that's translia payment. You then go to paypal and you will be able to see it.

Hi, First Translia approves payment, but it takes a while until Translia pays. When Translia pays you, at payment request you will see "Paid", and then you will receive an email from paypal. If it says "approved", you should wait a little bit until it says "Paid". Being your first payment, I understand your concern, but don`t worry, it will arrive. Regards,

As Yolanda said I guess you will receive it again. Other thing you could do is go to "help" (at the top of the page to your right, on Paypal) and then send an email or call them. After you have your payment again, you only have to withdraw the money to your bank account. You have to have a bank account registered at your Paypal account. It has no cost to a US bank account. I hope this helps.

Hi, I don´t know what you're talking about. Never happened to me. When you see in Paypal the total amount you have, you just withdraw it. You said you have a US account, it's better to transfer it to it, because you pay no money. But to a credit card you pay I think 15 dls... I don`t know about this limit you're talking about. If the email you registered with Translia doesn't match with the email you have registered with Paypal, no worries: Paypal allows you to add up to 8 different email address to your current Paypal account. So just add the email address which is registered with Translia to your current Paypal account and you are all set!
