Dear Yolanda:
While translating a segment some times we need to review a previous one. How we can "quickly" go from one segment to the preceding(s) segment(s), without loosing the work done in the current segment?
Will appreciate your advice.

Accessing just ANY segment
Many times I've found myself wishing I could access just ANY segment.
Since each segment is assigned a definite number, wouldn't it make sense to simply implement the clicking of that number as link to the corresponding segment ?
Increased flexibility an thus efficiency would ensue.
Thank you and will talk to
Thank you and will talk to Dev team as well!
New feature is required.
At present, what you suggested is the way to go back to the previous segment. As a new feature, we need to add a button such as "Save & Back". Will talk with the Dev team and see if they can get it realized.
Thank you for the suggestion, ftruccoh!
Going to the previous segment
Dear Yolanda:
Have we had any progress on this "Save & back" feature?
Thanks and regards
ftruccoh
Thanks ftruccoh
We're working on it.
Hope you enjoy translation on Translia!
Going to the previous segment
Dear Elly Liu:
In fact I have commented elsewhere that "going to previous segment(s) feature" is an important translation resource that allows translators to keep quality and consistency specially in public translation jobs. So far, I have enjoyed working on free translation mode only, since no paid jobs on EN>SP (Latin America) translations has arisen yet.
Best regards,
ftruccoh
Thank you ftruccoh
Your patience appreciated. I can see your contribution to the community jobs.
We also believe that "go back to previous segment" is important and we're processing it. Thanks for your suggestions.
Save
Dear Yolanda,
if we only "SAVE" the segment, we jump back to the very first page of the text. So we have to scroll down, remember, which page we were, click on the number and this way we can get back to the page we were. ( if we just proofreading or searching)
However if you don't remember, which page were you on, you have to guess,on a trial and error way.
It would be great to stay on the same page.
Would you talk to Dev's team about this too, please?
Going to the previous segment
Dear Yolanda:
Many thanks for your quick answer. How I can reach Dev's team? The feature I have proposed is very important to keep translation consistency in public translation jobs.

Thank you for sharing your comments!
jtprince issued a similar feature request weeks ago (http://www.translia.com/node/117737). But seems it's not easy to get it ready - sometimes I found that for some very complicated features, our Dev team can get it done very quickly, while for some seems simple for me, it may needs thousands of lines of code ;-) While, this one is in their task quene.
