Good evening,
I'd need information on translator's rank and what makes you decide to change it : how do you work this out ? Who exactly is taking this decision, and why is the translator not given any notice for instance when rank has been revised downwards ?
I think this is a bit obscure and should at least be discussed. The translator should know why his/her ranking has gone up or down...
Could you advise about this, it would help me understand better the way it works at Translia. For instance explain why going suddenly from 9 to 8 and what to do to avoid it.
Can you describe each rank and what they imply exactly (from 1 to 10).
Also I think comments should be used with moderation and mutual respect should be the rule between translators. Why use them to impose one's view at all costs, feel superior, or keep an ironic overcriticizing tune towards peers work ?
Moderation
For the rank please check the support ticket mentioned by Elly as below. Also feel free to join the discussion http://www.translia.com/node/119296. Let's merge the threads for a more efficient discussion.
For the comment, I agree your point - mutual respect should be the rule. Translia is a workplace. We cannot tolerate any misuse that may damage the colleague relationship and finally the quality and productivity.
The moderation might be worthy of a book. I suggest we start a new topic so that more members may join the discussion.
About rank :)
There is another post in Support for your reference: http://www.translia.com/node/125511.
Good working spirit
Unfortunately, I recently came accross several unpleasant comments from one translator in my pair of languages which I really found were over exagerated and filled with self superiority.

I thought I might answer back at times (you will easily find my answering comments), but this is of course like spreading it and I don't want to be talking down at anyone at Translia. Therefore my position now is to ignore it, and through reporting it hoping that things will improve quickly.
Thanking you in advance for your kind attention.
Hello, thanks for answering !
I can see many of us wonder why their rank has changed. I basically understand what rank means and what to do to keep a higher rank... the only thing is that I've recently increased activity at translia and even endorsed somebody and saw my rank going down. This is why I was so surprised.
Apparently chances are good to regain points so let's keep active on this site !
Many thanks
