Hi, Yolanda! Thanks for answering me. I have clicked everywhere I could to familiarize myself with Translia but didn't find enough info to allow me to answer the questionnaire. I am a little lost as I am unable to grasp the working of your site. By the way, even though I am a native speaker of French, I would much rather translate from French to American English as I am more comfortable in my second language. Thanks for you help. Bernadette.
P.S. what are UIs? I suppose they are strings of words already translated that have a specific meaning. Where to I find those?

In software translation or loclization, we call the menu, tab, message, etc. as User Interface; while online help and user's guide as documentation. When one translate documentation, he needs to refer to UI translation to keep consistency.

Does our guide, quiz or forum help?
Filling out your profile is enough!
Account -> Edit -> Translator Profile, fill out the necessary info that you want to let the clients know.
As to UI, Bruce and ftruccoh already gave the answer. Thanks to both of them!

I think the meaning of UI is *User interface*.
