Translia software - Bad concept leads to work being "snatched" away

It has now happened twice: I start translating and all of a sudden the text is locked against simultaneous editing. I cannot continue because someone else has taken over the process.
This happens because I spent a few seconds too long researching a term. The Translia program recognizes time spent thinking and researching as "inactivity".

This is a serious flaw in the software.

Using lock properly

Ness, regret your work was "snatched" away. We allow translators to take over the locked docment for efficiency consideration. It works well only if most translators understand that document lock means (http://www.translia.com/node/27). As many translator are still unfalimiar with Translia process, they would unnecessarily take over the locks and ruin works by other people. Let's observe it for some time whether things come better when translators get more familar with Translia.

We can prevent other translators unlock the locked document. That will prevent the situation you experienced. However, the disadvantage is when a translator leaves with a document locked there, the other translators have to wait until it expires. Let's keep trying and exploring for a better solution. Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

P.S. You can also tell other translators don't unlock the segment you're working on. If you believe they do that maliciously, report it as abuse.
