Dear Yolanda:
Thanks for your guidance.
In Translator Guide it is stated the following, "In any case, you shall not set a new translation as Ready to commit. The best translation practice is to have your translation reviewed by someone else!" Question: How is the % contribution calculated then? Suppose we have a segment with one -acceptable- initial translation and the status is set as "Needs Review", as recommended. After 5 small-changes reviews "someone" sets the segment as Ready to Commit........How the system proceeds to calculate the % of each Translator contribution?
Thanks and regards

Contribution is not based on status. Instead, it is based on the edits of each translator - the more you translate, the higher the contribution. The status is related to the progress which can help the whole team know how much is translated or reviewed. It is not accurate but good enough to know the progress as a whole. That's why we said "In any case, you shall not set a new translation as Ready to commit. The best translation practice is to have your translation reviewed by someone else!" Always ensure the status matches the actual situation.

For more details, pls read http://www.translia.com/node/25. And you can change the status back if you think the current status doesn't match the actual situation. For example, some one sets the status as "Ready to commit", while you change the translation and still hope it can be improved by someone else, you can change it to "needs review".

The translator who does translation or editing shall change it.
