XLIFF translation

Translia supports XLIFF file format*.

XLIFF (XML Localization Interchange File Format) is an XML-based format created to standardize localization. XLIFF was standardized by OASIS in 2002. Its current specification is v1.2 (as of 2008-01-22).

By using XLIFF file format, enterprise translation clients and localization companies may bridge Translia service with their own tools and processes. Source files can be prepared with any CMS and translation tools and the translations can be imported back to the same system for post-production, without any difficulty.

If you want to learn more about how you may use XLIFF for streamlining your localization process, contact us.

*Known limitation
Currently Translia does NOT support XLIFF keyword "alt-trans". The translations included with alt-trans tags will be ignored.
