Process of making a book
Hello,
I've partially explained how a book was made, so I'll give here the full process of it :
At first, of course, you get an idea. This idea can be a word (like "ice-cream") then it becomes a complete idea (a book about a murder where ice-cream is the clue to find the suspect)... I'd say that it's the easiest part of the process.

Next paid job (4/5 jours from now, deadline 10 days) will be the French / French check (I had to do the French / English job due to the short delay)
Once finished, the final English / English job will be done with the full text corrected, it will be a paid job with 10 days deadline.

I was wondering if any of you use a software for their translation.
On my part I use Across who provide a free and powerful software with all needed options.
TAO stands in french for Computer assisting Translation (forgive me if my translation isn't totally accurate).

- Teachers are really picky and might ask huge changes if they find mistakes so it is a very important point.

I would like your feedback on working on this job in order to improve for the next oncoming jobs (and there's many). I don't mind you giving me negative coments as long as they're constructive and help me improve my relationship with you all :
- Did you work on the job only for money or did you take interest in the story?
The segment that is not accessible.
Even as the client, I don't have access to this segment so my take is :
- Someone has locked it and thus it's not accessible (very unlikely)
- I didn't asked for an fast delivery (there's a small box to check for that) thus the last line won't be editable until the deadline to prevent the job from being closed earlier than the deadline. (Very likely).

Increase in the number of jobs
I would like to remove a false idea about the number of jobs that is decreasing. In fact it indeed has increased, but the ways that the translators have been working till now is no longer matching the ways that those who do have jobs needs it to be.
